DAY
1: MOMBASA – MALINDI - LAMU
(Mombasa to Malindi 120 kms, Appx. 2½
hrs) |
Our
3 days 2 nights Mombasa lamu archipelago
by air & road safari excursion begins
from our hotel with a leisurely scenic
drive to Malindi airport where we board
the 30 minutes air/flight to Manda Island’s
airstrip.
Depart from our hotel on a leisurely scenic
drive to the Malindi airport. Sisal, coconut
plantations, forest, and subsistence crops
together with local homesteads occupy
the 120 kms stretch of smooth tarmac road.
We arrive in time for our 30-minute flight
to Manda Island.
Approximately 1300hrs arrive at the Manda
Airstrip. Met and transferred by boat
or dhow to the Lamu Island. A walk or
donkey ride takes us to our hotel.
We are on half board basis with breakfast
and either lunch or dinner giving us the
opportunity to explore and discover local
restaurants. Part of the fun! Overnight
at your hotel. |

2: LAMU |
A
whimsical day at Lamu. Explore the maze
of streets, visit the Lamu museum, take
a dhow tour to the neighboring Islands,
visit the Shella beach or simply relax
and while the day with the locals in this
serene retreat. Overnight at our hotel.

3: LAMU – MALINDI - MOMBASA
(Malindi to Mombasa 120 kms, Appx. 2½
hrs) |
Breakfast
at our hotel. This morning is yours yet
again. After lunch, boat transfer to the
Manda Island Airstrip.
1340hrs: Depart Lamu for Malindi.
1420hrs: Met on arrival at Malindi Airport
for your road transfer to Mombasa.
Drop off at our respective hotels.
