Safari tour to the Samburu game reserve in the arid north frontier district of Kenya.

This is a Kenya safari driving via five distinct climatic sub regions with views of coffee, tea, pineapple and subsistence farming activities.

The snow capped Mount Kenya will be seen.

The safari provides opportunities to view unique wildlife species of orynx, gerenuk, somali ostrich, grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and other animal species peculiar to the region.

2 nights will be spent in standard luxury or super luxury safari camps and lodges.

Transport is provided  in a customised open roofed safari minibus.

DAY 1: NAIROBI - SAMBURU: 340Km: Aprox. 5hrs


Pickup from your city hotel or the Nairobi airport.

Drive via the central highlands of Kenya  with views of coffee, tea, sisal, pineapple and subsistence food crop farming.

Local homesteads dot the red soiled slopes of this region.

There shall be  views of the Mount Kenya with its snow capped peaks.

  The mount Kenya rainforest shall also be seen along the safari route.

Afternoon game viewing drive along the Banks of Ewaso Nyiro River.

Overnight at your Samburu safari lodge or tented camp.

Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner

DAY 2: SAMBURU

The day shall be spent game viewing  and relaxing at the Samburu game reserve.

Wild animals in this dry and scenic game reserve  are concentrated along the banks of the Ewasonyiro river.

Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Cheetah, Buffalo, Oryx and other animal species may be seen.

Overnight at your Samburu luxury lodge or tented camp.

DAY 3: SAMBURU - NAIROBI

Morning game viewing drive at the Samburu..

An exit  game viewing will follow.

Depart Samburu for Nairobi  with a lunch stop en-route.

Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon.

Drop off at your Nairobi hotel / Nairobi airport.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
