Day 1: Kenya Coast-Tsavo East: Appr. 2hrs

Depart from our Kenya Coast beach hotel on the Kenya  safari tour  via the explorers route - Mombasa - Nairobi highway.

The 120km - 2hrs dawn journey takes us to the southern entry point of the Bachuma gate where we stop briefly for refreshments.

We enter the tsavo east national park and commence game viewing drive in the direction of our Tsavo East National park safari lodge/ tented camp.

 We will check in, freshen up and enjoy a buffet lunch followed by relaxation as we await the late afternoon game viewing drive after the sun lull.

Our relaxed game viewing drive takes us on the trails of the big five with magnificent views of the African sunset before returning to our tsavo safari lodge / tented camp for dinner anecdotal evening and overnight.

 

Day 2: Tsavo East- Tsavo West: 100kms Appx 2 hrs:

We will be ready before  sunrise!.

 Dawn finds us set for our pre-breakfast game drive.

All ingredients for a wonderful day are in place, the splendor of an African sunrise dominates the natural world  as we transverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and hunters.

We return to our tsavo east safari lodge/ tented camp for breakfast and checkout.

A final game viewing drive at the tsavo east  will follow before we settle down for a buffet lunch.

On the road again!

We shall crossover to the  Tsavo West where we commence game viewing on entry.

We will check in at our tsavo west safari lodge/ tented camp before venturing to the Rhino Sanctuary.

 We later retire to our tsavo west safari  lodge/ tented camp for meals and overnight.

 

Day 3: Tsavo West- Amboseli: 140kms Appx 3 hrs:

"The early bird catches the worm!"

 We test this old saying  by embarking on an early pre-breakfast game and scenery viewing drive.

Sunrise catches us as we explore the tsavo west national park on an early morning game viewing drive.

The natural  world  unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.

We drink in the scenic beauty of  this awesome national park .

We will head to the Mzima Springs to view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.

The greenery surrounding the mzima springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms most of the  Tsavo West national park.

We will be back to our tsavo west safari lodge/ tented camp for breakfast later proceeding  on the onward journey to the Amboseli national park.

The 100 kms journey will be through the natural world to arrive at our  amboseli safari lodge/ tented camp  for lunch.

We will freshen up, enjoy our buffet lunch and while it away until late afternoon when we set out to explore the Amboseli national park in a game viewing drive.

It is a leisurely game viewing drive  with animals  easily seen and with the bulk of mount  Kilimanjaro providing the back-drop for wildlife photography.

Clouds may open up and the sight of of the snow peaked mount Kilimanjaro  will be awesome.

Dinner and overnight at our Amboseli safari lodge/ tented camp.

 

Day 4: Amboseli- Nairobi: 250kms: Appx: 4hrs:

We will be early again!

The sunrise and emergence of the mount Kilimanjaro  peak from the clouds is dramatic "weather permitting". We will marvel at the vistas as we enjoy our breakfast.

Depending on the time that we intend to arrive Nairobi at, We shall  depart the Amboseli national park with an en-route game viewing drive.

We re-join the  Mombasa- Nairobi  highway and proceed to Nairobi.

We shall arrive  Nairobi in the late afternoon.

Drop off at our respective hotels/ airport/ residence.
