We continue to the Lake Nakuru national park where thousands of flamingoes thrive in the salinity of the Lake.

The endangered black & White Rhino including other wildlife species are plentiful at Lake Nakuru.

Tour culminates at the Masai Mara game reserve where we marvel at the great scenery as we hunt for the Big five.

Tour is offered in a selection of economy, standard or luxury safari lodges or tented camps (depending on your style / budget).

Tour transport shall be in pop up top safari minivan Upgrade to 4 x 4 Land cruiser jeep is available at an extra cost.

Safari itinerary.

Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli. (4 hrs -250 km.)

0730 hrs: Pick up from Nairobi hotel/Nairobi airport

Depart  for the Amboseli national park.

The drive is  via the Nairobi -Mombasa highway and  through Masai country as you head to  amboseli which lies at the floors of the  mount Kilimanjaro.

Arrive Amboseli in the mid-morning.
Afternoon shall be spent on game viewing drives in search of elephant, cheetah, lion and other plains game.
The Mount Kilimanjaro in its majesty shall provide the most natural background for wildlife photography.
Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp.

Meal plan : Lunch, Dinner

Elephant herds, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo,  Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Hyrax, Lesser Kudu, and Nocturnal Porcupine, prolific birdlife

 

Day 2: Amboseli- Lake Naivasha -(340 km: 6 hrs)

Early morning game  and scenery viewing drive .

Later proceed to  the Lake Naivasha with a descent to the floor of the Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at the Lake Naivasha in the mid - afternoon.
Overnight  at your lake Naivasha safari lodge/ tented camp

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

What to do at Lake Naivasha ............

Bird watching,  Boat ride.

 

Day 3: Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru: (80km: 1.5 hr)

Explore Lake Naivasha and spot exotic bird life,hippos etc on a  morning boat ride

Option of visiting the Hell’s gate by bicycle and hiking is available

Later proceed  to the Lake Nakuru national park.

The Lake Nakuru national park is the smallest in the class A category Kenya national parks.

Birdlife abounds with flamingoes in their  thousands together with pelicans and other bird  species.

The lake  hosts the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffe and many more.

Overnight shall be at your lake Nakuru safari lodge / tented camp.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Flamingo , Lion, Zebra, White Rhino, Black Rhino, Waterbucks, variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species

 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara:(300 km: 6 hrs.)

An early bird and game viewing drive at the  Lake Nakuru National Park

Proceed to the Masai mara game reserve.

Arrive Masai Mara in time for an afternoon  game viewing drive

Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

 

Day 5: Full Day - Masai Mara

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza!

Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world.
It is host to  the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.
The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the  moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.

We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing   encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.

Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October)

Overnight shall be at our Masai Mara safari lodge/ Tented camp

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.


Day 6: Masai Mara - Nairobi: (265km: 5-6 hrs)

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive.

Extra final game drive as you exit  the Masai Mara

Depart the Masai Mara for Nairobi to arrive in the late afternoon.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

Finish at your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi airport
