SAROVA MARA
Sarova Mara Game Camp is located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in South West Kenya, 260 km from Nairobi.

A 40 minute flight from Nairobi, the camp is a 20 minute drive from the  airstrip and a 3 hour drive from Nairobi on the new tarmac road.

Spread over acres, Sarova Mara Game Camp is set on an elevation surrounded by two streams.

The Mara sarova  Camp is uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large pond stocked with fish, mini bird sanctuary and an authentic Maasai Village adjoining the Camp.

CLIMATE
The climate at the masai mara game reserve is very pleasant with clear warm days and cool nights Temperatures average from 26 degrees Celcius during the day to 10 degrees celcius at night.

There are sporadic rains in March, April, November & December

Activities within Sarova Mara Game Camp

Bird watching
The sarova mara Camp is like a mini bird sanctuary with several species sighted within its grounds and tree cover.

Binoculars are available for use and a bird spotter can accompany guests for a nature walk.

 

Walking Safaris

A selection of short walks conducted in the nature trails within the Sarova Mara Game Camp compound,

walking safaris center on the unique and exotic bird and plant-life across the 27 acre property.

 

Mini Golf

The Camp has a mini golf course on the premises. Golf equipment is available for guest use.

 

Sport Fishing

The Camp has a large fish pond well stocked with fish and guests can enjoy a bout of sport fishing.

 

Library & Board Games

The Bar is stocked with books on the flora and fauna and Maasai culture of the region as well as a selection of board games like backgammon and scrabble.

 

Wellness

The Tulia wellness tent is managed by trained massage therapists and a full menu of treatments is available

including swedish, aromatherapy and ayurvedic.

 

Maasai Culture

Sarova Mara Game Camp has the rare distinction of being located next to a traditional Maasai Village.

The Isokon Maasai Cultural is a true showcase of Maasai Culture where guests can interact with the Maasai

people and watch them work their crafts like beadwork and wood carving.

Community Work

Guests can participate in  various community projects supported by Sarova Mara Game Camp and

contribute to the same.

 

Herb Garden Visit

The Camp has its own vegetable and herb garden that guests can visit with the Chef and select greens for

their salad.

Weddings & Honeymoons

Sarova Mara Game Camp lends itself naturally to the ideal exotic wedding flavored with the culture and traditions of the Maasai Weddings are held at the landscaped greens, at the Isokoni Maasai Culture Village with a Maasai Moran or Maasai elder blessing the marriage or for the more adventurous - many feet above ground in a Hot Air Balloon.

The Sarova mara  camp is fully geared to take up all the arrangements so that guests can truly enjoy themselves without worrying about the details.

These include venue decoration using traditional maasai fabrics, beads and handicraft, flowers, music and dance, bubbly toast and tiered cake, bush dinner with traditional dancers and photography.

The Camp also has a mini spa to indulge the couple.

The marriage license, certificate and registration are also taken care of.
