When you think of Rwanda what comes to mind? Impossibly green rolling hills and mountains? Brilliantly rich national parks? Bamboo forests and the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas? Or, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, and olive baboons?
But there’s so much more happening here culturally and environmentally – Rwanda is a world leader in eco-green development – the first country to ban single-use plastic bags. The Rwandan people are committed to increasing their forest acreage to cover 30 percent of the country, and they’ve created three additional national parks. All of this to protect the natural biosphere and ensure a safe place where wildlife can thrive.
But Rwanda is blessed with plains type wildlife as well – the savannah here will show off its bounty of zebras, impalas, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and sometimes elephants and lions.
Rwanda’s main parks include: Volcanoes National Park, Nyungwe Forest National Park & Akagera National Park.
Citizens of all countries that are not visa exempt, have also option to submit application online Click here or at the Rwanda Diplomatic Missions of the country of residence before departure. Those applying online have option to pay online or upon arrival.
Application for visa extension is submitted at Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration offices. Detailed requirements are set out in the Information for applicants for each class of visa.
Extension of a visa should be applied for whilst initial visas remain valid.
Visitors who wish to visit simultaneously the three countries (Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda) for tourism may apply for the East Africa Tourist Visa (EATV) online at https://irembo.gov.rw/rolportal/web/dgie/east-africa-tourist-visa, upon arrival or from Rwanda Diplomatic missions abroad. If acquiring the EATV visa before travel, your first entry point must be the country through which you applied for the visa. The East Africa Tourist Visa costs US$100, is valid for 90 days and is multiple entry (if staying within the three countries).
Note: There is no single affiliated Agent that is authorized to apply for visa on your behalf. Such Agents may mislead you and charge more than the visa fees.
The visitor’s and East Africa Tourist Visa should not be used for employment.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration informs the public that the existing Visa Regime of 21 June 2019 is hereby updated as follows:

Like a pearl, Uganda is small but precious – its luster is the bright greens of Africa’s highest mountains, spectacular waterfalls, thick forests, and dramatic valleys.
But the beating heart of Uganda is its parks – the best locations for trekking to and viewing the rare mountain gorilla.
Half the world’s surviving gorillas live in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. But families of other primates dominate the landscapes and parks – you’ll find chimpanzees and 10 other species of monkeys in these hills and rainforests.
But Uganda is not all monkey business, at reserves like Queen Elizabeth National Park, Rwenzori Mountains National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park , Kibale Forest and Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary you’ll experience animals usually seen on the savannah such as giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and elephants.
Home to the source of the world’s longest river (river Nile), the world’s remaining Mountain Gorillas, vast and diverse natural wild life reserves; Blessed with tropical, all year round summer weather, a diverse cultural heritage of over 50 local tribes, snow caped mountains, natural water rafting spots, vibrant night life. A wealth of unexploited natural resources and a young educated population.
The Uganda Electronic Visa/Permit Application System performs checks against law enforcement databases. All travelers seeking admission to Uganda are required to obtain a Visa using this system prior to being granted boarding.
If your visa or permit application is approved, it establishes that you are eligible for the approved visa or permit, but does not establish that your application is definitely approved.
Upon arrival to Uganda (at the selected point of entry) or to the Immigration Office Headquarters, you will be inspected by an Immigration Officer who may determine if your application is finally approved. All information provided by you, or on your behalf by a designated third party, must be true and correct.
A visa or permit application approval may be revoked at any time and for any reason, such as new information influencing eligibility. You may be subject to administrative or criminal penalties if you knowingly and willfully make a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation in an electronic visa or permit application submitted by you or on your behalf.

In most cases, there may be a swimming room,
The lodge’s en-suite guestrooms are spread in smaller separate scattered cottages around the main central building.

Safari lodges vary in size, unique design, location and standards with a nice range in economy , comfort and luxury category.
SAFARI CAMPS
The safari tented camps share some similarities with safari lodges in layout , purpose and location.
A tented camp is composed of the Main building (housing the public areas) usually thatched African style for effect .It may also be made of a large tent .The en-suite guest tents are scattered around the main building providing a private feel.
The tented camp is a composition of large en-suite walk in tents which are built on a solid floor base and are complete with private bathrooms and a small terrace or veranda.
Essentially they are rooms with the exterior being canvas rather than wood or brick.
The tented camp complex may also have a swimming pool.
Tented camps range from the comfort, superior comfort, luxury to the super luxury.

The SGR train travel between Mombasa and Nairobi and now being extended to Near Lake Naivasha is the most recent and safest way to travel in Kenya.
It is also the most exotic means of travel between the Kenya interior and Kenya coast.
The train coaches are air conditioned and with wide windows for best scenic views.
From Nairobi to Mombasa and vise versa , the train meanders through the Tsavo West & Tsavo East.
It is absolutely safe for both passengers and luggage. . .
