PRIDEINN MARA CAMP

Situated on the edge of the Talek River, PrideInn Mara Camp offers guests a chance to witness spectacular wildlife encounters from the comfort of their suites while gazing out over the pristine plains of the Masai Mara. Dining is set in a spacious central tent with food created with ingredients from the camp’s organic garden. Enjoy a boma dinner, meals set around a central fire in a reeded area, an intimate dining experience, lanterns lighting up the arena. Guests also have the option for private dining.

 

The camp has a tranquil swimming pool area located conveniently next to a modest bar while the lounge area invites you to sit and relax, perhaps to share stories of your day on safari with other guests. PrideInn Mara Camp offers in-room massages, a wonderful wilderness setting making this a truly unique experience and for a corporate escape, a small conference room is available for guests to take their meetings from the city boardroom to the bush.

Set on 25acres of land along the Talek River which feeds into shrublands and forests, creating dramatic safari scenes around the lodges and camps located in this region. Olkiombo Airstrip is a short drive nearby and a five hour drive from Nairobi.

31 large and beautifully-decorated accommodation options, half tented and half cottage-style, stand privately amidst a wilderness wonderland, offering views of the Talek River. Beiges and tints of oranges and reds follow a theme throughout the camp with the 15 tents offering private verandahs and spacious interiors. All accommodation offers en-suite bathrooms, flush toilet and solar-heated safari showers. Enjoy the opportunity to take an outdoor shower, a popular safari highlight when offered.

Game Viewing / Activities

The Talek River and surrounding savannas and forested region is famous for the great migration between July and September, and for an abundance of incredible wildlife at other times of the year. Game viewing at PrideInn Mara Camp takes place in the early morning and late afternoon, with qualified guides looking to introduce you to wildlife wonders such as cheetah, elephants, zebra and hippos, to name a few. Bush walks are available as well as bush breakfasts, with the chance to watch animals at the river, from the comfort of your camp.
