Named after the Swahili word for ‘peaceful’, the Tulia Amboseli Camp depicts just this in its classic and cozy design and tranquil setting. Tulia Camp is located just outside Amboseli National Park and comprises 20 classic, large tents all offering amazing views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

A waterhole lies in front of the lodge offering entertainment to guests either dining in the intimate canvas-walled and reeded roof restaurant, or relaxing in the lounge. With great sunset views, sundowners around the campfire is a popular activity for guests enjoying their stay at Tulia Amboseli Camp.

Location

Situated just outside Amboseli National Park’s Kimana Gate, a location that offers incredible views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a close proximity to brilliant game viewing inside Amboseli. Tulia Amboseli Camp is a five-hour drive from Nairobi of a 40-minute flight from Wilson Airport to the Amboseli Airstrip, followed by a short drive to the camp.

Accommodation options at Tulia Amboseli Camp include ten Superb Tents, of which one is a family tent comprising two rooms, two bathrooms and an enclosed sitting area. All Superb Tents have an enclosed deck with a sitting area, writing desk and a fan, with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. Another ten Deluxe Tents exist with the added luxury feature of a private plunge pool sunken into a private deck.

There is a writing desk, fan and large en-suite bathroom comprising a double-vanity, toilet and shower. All bedding can be configured into queen or twin accommodation.

Game Viewing / Activities

Game drives are conducted in open 4×4 safari vehicles and include either an early morning or late afternoon game drive within the Amboseli National Park. A full-day experience in Amboseli affords guests the time to explore and enjoy a vast area of the Park, with a picnic lunch enjoyed at a scenic lookout point. Animals in Amboseli include predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards to gazelle, wildebeest and warthog roaming the plains. Witnessing large herds of elephants is a highlight of any Amboseli safari experience.

Guests also have the option to enjoy a night drive within Tulia’s conservancy, 240 acres of wilderness that is home to nocturnal wildlife such as aardvark, honey badger and bat-eared fox to name a few. Other safari adventures include a hot air balloon ride and bush walks.
