Drive amongst great herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra. Sail by hippos, fish and birds. Walk alongside giraffe, antelope, gazelle, and waterbuck. On this medium-length 5-day African safari you’ll ride, sail, walk and maybe even bicycle to a wonderful variety of wildlife in several distinct but always fascinating animal reserves. Amboseli, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara are a constellation of Kenya’s finest natural wonders.

Enjoy this amazing safari in a customized pop-up roof Natural World 4×4 Safari Jeep that includes: Portable fridge/Cooler Box, 4 Binoculars, long-range high-frequency radio, Sand bags, 4G/LTE broadband WIFI connectivity, Power Outlets AC 230V, First Aid Kit, Safari Guide Books – Baby Seats and Side Steps available on request… and above all, a professional multi-lingual safari guide who will ensure you have an unforgettable safari experience.

You’ll first notice it peeking out on the horizon. As you steadily approach, Mt. Kilimanjaro slowly rises to its world-famous elevation, a guide to Amboseli National Park, which lies at its floor. This park is small but very popular, a testament to its scenic beauty and impressive wildlife, especially its many elephants which you are all but guaranteed to spot striding by in their delightful herds.

Lake Naivasha isn’t just one park but several destinations. There is the fresh-water Rift Valley lake where we’ll take a boat safari, spotting hippos and birds. To get up close to grazing wildlife, we’ll go on a guided walking safari to the charming and wonder-filled Crescent Island Game Sanctuary.

And we can even take an optional bike ride to nearby Hell’s Gate National Park for still more views of giraffe, buffalo, antelope, and zebra.

But the park we’ll spend several days at is perhaps the most famous in the world. Masai Mara National Reserve offers an unforgettable panorama of hills, plains, and rivers all stocked with an awesome display of wildlife – lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and the hordes of the Great Migration. We’ll enjoy unlimited game drives over the vast sweep of this exciting reserve.

So, there it is – 5 days, 4 parks, and all the land, wildlife, and excitement to create a lifetime of memories. This is a special safari and we want to make it even more special for you. Nairobi – Amboseli (250 km. – Approx. 4 Hrs)

Meal plan : Lunch, Dinner

7:00 hrs.  Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport or Nairobi area residence. We’ll head out in our private 4 x 4 Jeep for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway.

Our drive will take us through Masai country and toward the guiding iconic form of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro.

We should arrive at Amboseli in the late morning with plenty of time to freshen up and enjoy lunch at your accommodation.

Then we’re off in our private 4 x 4 to track wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and lion. We won’t need to track elephants as the park always offers ample herds for our viewing enjoyment.

With Kilimanjaro standing watch over the reserve like a giant picture postcard you’ll love taking photos in this busy and scenic park.

We’ll spend the evening in Amboseli at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.

Amboseli – Lake Naivasha (340 km: Approx. 5-6 hrs)

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

We’re going to enjoy several more game drives at Amboseli, starting with an early morning jaunt in our 4 x 4 to see the sunlight breaking over the park and perhaps some elephants on their way to breakfast.

We’ll also have our breakfast at our accommodation and then set out for an extra drive through the park, catching last glimpses of the wildlife and the mighty mountain.

Now, we’re on our way traveling over the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley. Traveling to Lake Naivasha, we’ll stop in Nairobi at a noted restaurant to enjoy lunch.

We’ll proceed on our journey, reaching Lake Naivasha in the late afternoon – we may take a fun boat safari across the pretty lake, sailing by hippos, fish and taking in cormorant, pelican and perhaps see zebra and antelope grazing over on the shore.

We’ll spend the night at the Lake Naivasha safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.

Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara (240Km – Approx. 4-5 hours)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Let’s rise with the sun for a game drive or boating safari over the lake.

There’s so much to do in the Lake Naivasha area. We’ll take a guided walking safari to nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. Acre for acre this park has more animals than any other Kenyan park and we’ll stroll by as they peacefully graze.

We also offer an optional bicycle ride over to Hell’s Gate National Park for more hiking close to the wildlife. Just ask your driver/guide to set this up.

But now it’s time to set out for the most famous wildlife park in the world – Masai Mara National Reserve.

We’ll arrive in time for a game drive and get our first taste of the sweep, the beauty and the active wildlife inhabiting this famous park.

All of Africa’s Big Five are here, and sightings of lion and cheetah are common.

We’ll spend the first of two nights at the Masai Mara at your safari lodge or tented camp.

Full day – Masai Mara

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The Masai Mara is known for having the highest density of wildlife in the region.

So, we’ll be up early to track that wildlife over hills and savannahs, looking for the big predators but also some of the other 90 species of mammals filling this exciting ecosystem.

The reserve is also home to the Great Migration (July – October), when hordes of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra by the tens of thousands cross over the Mara River into the park on their yearly quest for taller, fresher grasses on which to feed.

We’ll take a picnic lunch at the Mara River, within sight of hippos and crocodiles, and if during the migration season, splendid views of the invading herds crossing into the park, in a sight unmatched anywhere.

Here are some optional activities to enhance your stay at the Mara: Enjoy a visit with the local Maasai people in their nearby village, see their homes, learn about their culture, and perhaps purchase some of their colourful jewelry.

We also offer a pre-dawn hot air balloon safari over the park. This is a not-to-be-missed moment on your tour – imagine viewing the Mara come alive with the new day as the wildlife emerges onto the savannah. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements.

Our final night at the Masai Mara will be at the safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.

Masai Mara – Nairobi: (265km – Approx. 5 hrs)

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

Our last morning to journey out amongst the wildlife – let’s make the most of it with an early game drive. By now you’re an experienced safari-goer and will better be able to spot the animals.

A final breakfast at our accommodation and we’ll once more hop into our 4 x 4 for a final game drive as we exit the park.

Now we’re headed back to Nairobi and should arrive at about 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm).

We will bring you to your Nairobi hotel, residence or the airport.

From the great elephants at Amboseli to close-up game watching at Lake Naivasha to the splendor of land and wildlife at Masai Mara, this has been a safari adventure to remember. Thank you so much for your patronage and the trust you have placed in us. Everyone at the Natural World Kenya Safaris’ team wishes you our very best and like all friends, we can’t wait to see you again.
