Set up for prime Great Migration viewing and a myriad of amazing game watching activities throughout the rest of the year, the Kaskaz Mara Camp is a fantastic safari option in the Northern region of the Serengeti National Park. Nestled between the Nyamalumba Hills and the Mara River, ten luxury tented suites stand in pure privacy among a wilderness wonder. The main camp is a wonderful hub for guests to gather and chat about your day on safari, gathering around a crackling campfire or around the charming bar and cozy lounge area. Meals are served either inside the comfortable dining area or out in the bush. Guests are invited to combine the tranquility of this prime safari setting with the plethora of game activities on offer.
The Kaskaz Mara Camp is located in Tanzania’s Northern Serengeti, an approximately one hour flight from Arusha to the Kogatende airstrip. Guests are then driven to the Camp on a 40-minute safari transfer. Guests who wish to drive from Arusha will have a drive of around six hours.
The ten tented suites located at Kaskaz Mara are ideally situated to offer optimal wildlife viewing. The sloping roofs are met with large, netted windows draped with cotton curtains. The beds are large in size and decor in the tented suites depict Swahili tradition. There is mosquito netting over the beds and the tents have a small sitting area. En-suite bathrooms comprise a vanity, toilet and show as well as bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.
Game drives in a 4×4 safari vehicle early in the mornings and late in the afternoon, are the best way to experience the wonderful wildlife that roam the plains and river banks of the Serengeti National Park. Guided bush walks, bird watching and hot air balloon safaris are popular excursions for guests staying at Kaskaz Mara and visiting a Masai village on a cultural tour will introduce guests to the daily life of local communities.
