Kirurumu Under Canvas South is located in the Southern Serengeti, a seasonal mobile luxury camp that takes note of the best location at that time of year, to rest awhile and take in all this famous Park has to offer. Guests can enjoy the wildlife thrills in the South, between December and March. The intimate camp boasts finishes that pull through luxury finishes, with a comfortable dining tent and small sitting area and bar.
A crackling campfire is lit at night and guests are invited to gather around and share stories of their day on safari with other guests. Game drives and a hot air balloon ride are offered to guests staying here. Guests will have access to WiFi in the main areas during their stay.
Kirurumu Under Canvas Southern Camp is located in the Southern Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Guests will fly from Arusha to the Ndutu Airstrip, a flight of approximately one hour. Guests are met and then driven to the Camp on a 40-minute drive through the Serengeti.
There are eight luxury tents privately set up in the Southern part of the Serengeti National Park, offering views from inside and out, with a private verandah and small sitting area. Seven Double or Twin tents which can be made up as king beds or with two twin beds, and one Family Tent is connected by two en-suite rooms. Each bed is made with crisp linens and a splash of brown, black and beige colors in throws, cushions and rugs.
There is a classic and subtle luxury feel to the tents, each fitted with a writing desk and chair, a luggage rack and chest located at the bottom of the bed. There is mosquito netting over the beds, adding to the subtle luxury decor and feel in the tents. Each tent is en-suite with a shower, vanity and toilet, plus luxury bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay. In-room dining is an option too.
Game viewing at Kirurumu Under Canvas Southern Serengeti is wonderful, and with guests staying during the birthing season and birding season which falls between December and March, the chance of a truly enhanced safari is a possibility. Activities include daily game drives, usually early in the morning and late afternoon, while options such as a hot air balloon ride will offer guests a chance to soar above the Serengeti, viewing incredible wildlife from a fantastic aerial view.
