Nyikani Central Serengeti Camp

Nyikani Central Serengeti Camp

Scattered on a hillside in the central Serengeti, the Nyikani Central Serengeti Camp is a permanent camp set among one of Africa’s greatest animal concentrations. The camp focuses on eco-friendly practices and therefore the public areas and tents are all solar-powered.

Food is served in the main tent, a dining area set up with individual and locally-made wooden tables, with striking African-designed chairs. All cuisine is created with organic-grown produce sourced from local farms, including the Camp’s own vegetable garden.

The sitting area has comfortable chairs and a selection of books for guests to enjoy during their stay. The lounge, dining room, and small bar area are all set under a billowing canvas ceiling, the neutral-colored material a perfect contrast against the darker furniture and decor. Guests can enjoy meals in the bush (weather dependent), immersed in the wilderness, or spend time relaxing on the private verandah at their luxury tent. Excursions offered here include game drives and hot air balloon excursions, as well as a cultural experience.

Rooms / Tents

There are 12 Guest Tents and one Family Tent located at Nyikani Central Serengeti all boasting a private and shaded verandah that overlooks the plains of the marvelous bush of the Serengeti. There is a small sitting area both indoors and out on the verandah with a writing desk and chair and a digital safe for guests to store their valuables during their stay.

The bedding can be made up with either a king-size bed or two single beds to make up a twin room. Crisp linens are covered with colorful throws and the lighting in tents comes from two attractive lamps hanging down from the canvas ceiling.

A butler will bring guests their morning tea or coffee, a unique wake-up call to get you ready for your day on safari. The tents are all en-suite with a double vanity, toilet, and a safari-style bucket shower which is set up and filled with hot water at a time requested by guests. Bathroom amenities are placed in the bathroom for guests to use during their stay.
