Tarangire Tortilis Camp

Tarangire Tortilis Camp

The Tarangire Tortilis Camp comprises a well-designed and spacious camp with safari tents fixed in between a row of incredible baobab trees, offering captivating views over the wilderness and wetlands. The tents are exquisite and contain all that guests may require during their stay.

The main camp area comprises a lounge area with wooden, locally-made seats covered with colorful African-themed decor. There is a bar set up in the shape of one end of a canoe, aptly named ‘The Waterhole’. The dining tent or ‘mess’ is set up with big, wooden tables and chairs, with meals served by a talented chef with locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy a run or walk with a Maasai guide and after dinner, gather by a crackling campfire and exchange stories of their day on safari.

Rooms / Tents

Five spacious and comfortable Safari Tents are set up among the baobab trees, and along a dusty pathway connecting them to the main Camp area. They can be set up as double, twin, single, and even triple-bedded accommodation, with king-size or twin beds. The color scheme is neutral tones with touches of dark blacks and browns, African-inspired design, and decor present in each tent. The tents have a small, furnished verandah.

There is a small sitting area, a writing desk and chair, and a space to hang clothing. Mosquito nets flow over the beds and guests have access to WiFi. Two-way radios are used to communicate with the main tent and guests are offered room service in the early morning, tea or coffee being delivered by a friendly member of the team, the perfect wake-up call in the bush. Bathrooms are en-suite with a toilet, vanity, and shower, and there are bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.
