Enjoy this amazing safari in a customized open-sided Natural World 4×4 Safari Jeep that includes: Cooler Box, long-range high-frequency radio, Power Outlets AC 230V, First Aid Kit, and above all, a professional multi-lingual safari guide who will ensure you have an unforgettable safari experience.

See the great parks of Kenya close up and from the air. This complete fly-in safari will whisk you off to Amboseli National Park and then on to the Masai Mara National Reserve in two easy flights of just an hour – a fraction of the time it would take to drive.

From the starting point of your choice (hotel, residence, etc.) we’ll bring you to nearby Wilson Airport where you’ll board your flight to Amboseli Park. En route, you’ll take in the vast plains and rich forests of Kenya with views of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro peeking through the clouds. You’ll lightly touch down at an adjacent airstrip to the park where your Natural World Kenya Safaris driver/guide will meet you in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep.

The Elephants of Amboseli

Adventurers love to include Amboseli on their African safari because this compact park offers lots of wildlife sightings of all the big game. But top of the list is Amboseli’s reputation as the best spot to see great herds of elephants. The population is so dense that you are guaranteed sightings – a boast most parks can’t make.

You saw it from the air and now will appreciate its towering flanks at ground level – great Mt. Kilimanjaro is a constant presence, a perfect backdrop for the park’s active wildlife.

We’ll enjoy Amboseli over three days and then take once more to the air as we wing into the Masai Mara.

The King of Kenya’s Parks

So much has been written about the Masai Mara National Reserve and deservedly so. No other Kenya park has so many prides of lions – the density of the wildlife here is unequaled in the region.

Driving over its rolling hills with its stunning acacia trees, you’ll be tracking for the over 95 mammal species that inhabit this world-renowned reserve. Look for other predators like leopard, cheetah, jackal, and hyena.

But you can’t miss the massive hordes of wildlife that make up the Great Migration from July through October. You’ll witness thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles pouring into the park from the nearby Serengeti. It’s said to be the greatest movement of animals on the planet.

Our stay at the Mara will span four days, giving you time and space to get to know the park, its wildlife, and perhaps pick out some favorite viewing spots.

Enriching your stay, take advantage of our optional offerings: enjoy a visit with the local Maasai people at a nearby village to meet them and learn about their pastoral culture. And for a spectacular view of the park, join our pre-dawn hot air balloon safari for a stunning voyage few get to experience.

Our stay at the Mara complete, we’ll hop aboard our plane for the quick trip back to Nairobi.

Nairobi – Samburu (90 Minute Flight)

7:30 Your Natural World Kenya Safaris driver will come by your hotel, residence, or place of your choice for the quick trip to Wilson Airport, and your 8:30 am. flight. Settle into your seat for the easy 90-minute trip to Samburu Park.

From the air, take in the fields and homesteads and look for the imposing form of Mt. Kenya, the country’s tallest peak.

You’ll lightly touch down at a convenient airstrip where your Natural World Kenya Safaris driver/guide will greet you and load up your bags into a private, open-sided 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep for the quick ride to the park.

We’ll enjoy lunch at our accommodation and then set out on the first of many game drives over the next six days.

Samburu is a big arid park where the wildlife can be expected to visit the refreshing waters of the Ewaso Nyro River which bisects the reserve. And this makes for some great animal spotting.

As evening approaches we’ll head back to our safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and relaxation.

Full-Day at Samburu

We’ll rise early to enjoy the soft morning light bringing the park to life. We’re looking forward to a full day of game drives so talk with your driver/guide about how you’d like to plan your time. You can stay out in the field all day or come back to your accommodation for a little downtime to rest. The choice is yours.

We’ll be tracking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and all the other big game that fill this big park. But Samburu is also known for its collection of rare and unusual species like the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and Beisa oryx.

We can also explore outside the park at the nearby Shaba and Buffalo Springs Reserves to take in their green fields for a different kind of game drive.

As the day wanes we’ll head back to our safari lodge or tented camp to wash off the safari dust, and settle in for a relaxing meal.

Samburu – Masai Mara (1 ½ Hour Flight).

How about one more game drive before breakfast to see which animals we can spot emerging into the day’s soft morning light.

After breakfast at our accommodation, we’ll head back to the airstrip for our 10:30 am flight to the Masai Mara. We’ll say goodbye to our guide but know another Natural World Kenya Safaris driver/guide will be waiting for us when we touch down near the Masai Mara.

Our 90-minute flight will take us over a great stretch of the country and we should see mighty Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Touching down, our new driver/guide will greet us with our second 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. It’s a quick ride to the park and we’ll get settled and enjoy lunch at our new Mara accommodation.

Over the next four days, we’ll explore the park and you can discuss with your guide how you would like to plan your safari here. But now we’re off for our first game drive.  The look here contrasts with Samburu – it’s all green rolling hills adorned with stunning acacia trees.

This is a busy reserve with the greatest density of wildlife in this part of Africa. We’ll be looking for prides of lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, plus elephant, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and antelope.

Toward the late afternoon, we’ll head back to our safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and tales of the Mara.

Full Day at the Masai Mara

It’s safari time in the great park so that means an early rise to take advantage of the morning light and soak up the peaceful feeling over these rolling savannahs.

As we go on our game drives for these next several days you’ll get a feeling for the park and the areas you’d like to explore or revisit. Just discuss with your guide as he knows the spots to find the wildlife.

But we’ll be on the lookout for large and also small predators like jackals, hyenas, fox, and mongoose.

The presence of the many grazers here can be overwhelming as we explore for gazelle, antelope, topi, and dik-dik. And the park also boasts hundreds of bird species, accenting the plains with their startling colors.

Toward evening, look west for one of the Mara’s glowing sunsets of deep reds, oranges, and purples.

We’ll head back to our lodge or tented camp for rest and relaxation.

Masai Mara – Nairobi (1 Hour Flight).

Our final safari morning – let’s revisit some of our favorite spots in the park and then enjoy a big safari breakfast.

We’ll head out to the airstrip to board our plane after goodbyes with our driver/guide. Taking off at 11:15 am we’ll view Kenya from the air with a touch down at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport at 12:15 pm.

There, one of our drivers will welcome you and bring you back to your residence, hotel, the international airport, or another place of your choosing.

Fly-in safaris – the easy, fast way to spend more time in the parks and less time getting to the parks. We’ve packed a lot in these past six days and you’ve gotten to know and appreciate these special reserves. We hope you enjoyed it all and will think of us the next time you’d like to visit Kenya’s magnificent wildlife reserves.

From the entire team at Natural World Kenya Safaris, we thank you for your time, your interest, and the trust you placed in us.
