Enjoy this amazing safari in a customized pop-up roof 4×4 Safari Jeep that includes: Cooler Box, long-range high-frequency radio, Power Outlets AC 230V, First Aid Kit, and above all, a professional multi-lingual safari guide who will ensure you have an unforgettable safari experience.
Let’s Get This Africa Safari Started Your Tanzania safari experience will be no less spectacular with its vast Serengeti plains, hosting wildlife in the millions. The great Ngorongoro Crater is the most spectacular volcanic caldera in the world. You won’t believe the intensity of its sunrises and sunsets at the crater rim that seem to burst with fire. This is the best of Africa and Natural World Safaris is ready to share it with you!
As we move on to the Mt. Kenya/Laikipia region, the temperature cools as we arrive at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The Conservancy hosts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Don’t miss the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary also located in the Conservancy. It’s home to orphaned and rescued chimps – the only place in Kenya where you can see them and enjoy their playful behavior.
We then travel south to the Rift Valley lake country coming to rest at Lake Naivasha National Park, known for its fabulous bird watching. We’ll go sailing on a water safari here, passing hippos and antelope grazing over on the shore. It’s a quick trip to nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a guided walking safari to view grazing giraffe, zebra, impala, and all sorts of colorful birds. Ever go on a bicycle safari? Neighboring Hell’s Gate National Park, offers walking and bicycling safaris through its canyons and fields, passing buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and more.
Now it’s time to travel to Kenya’s most famous wildlife habitat – the Masai Mara National Reserve – home to the big cats with its significant populations of lion, leopard, and cheetah. The Mara is a majestic habitat and you’ll be tracking for the great felines along with herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, gazelle, and so much more in this dense ecosystem.
The Mara is also home to the great migration of wildebeest and zebra pouring in from the Serengeti, crossing the Mara River. Prepare to witness the drama of the wildlife crossing the Mara River and the resident crocodiles awaiting them. If you wish you can partake in an optional guided nature walk and a visit to a Masai village to meet these herdsmen and learn about their lifestyle.
We now cross over the border into Tanzania and Serengeti National Park, the lands from which the great migration begins. The endless grasslands of the Serengeti boast millions of wildlife, especially wildebeest and zebra. But the Big Five are also here, as well as gazelle, impala, hartebeest, and cheetah.
A not-to-be-missed feature of the Serengeti is the World Heritage Site of Ngorongoro Crater. This is the world’s largest fully intact volcanic caldera. From the crater’s rim, you will marvel at the most awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets. But even more impressive, traveling down to the crater floor you’ll enter a world of intense wildlife. Here you’ll be amongst the highest density of lions and predators in Africa!
Our next Tanzania park is smaller but contains its own colorful drama. Lake Manyara National Park hosts millions of vibrant flamingos and other birdlife. The park also features great herds of elephants and the very unique tree-climbing lions. Look for overhead and you may spot one resting nearby on a tree branch
Now it’s time to cross back into Kenya and pay a visit to our final animal habitat, Amboseli National Park. Seated near the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park is a blend of savannah plains and deep green swampland. You’ll have many opportunities to view the numerous elephants here but also look for lion, cheetah, hyena, and hundreds of bird species. And don’t forget to take in the magnificent views of towering, snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Finally, after 12 days, 8 parks, and countless animals, it’s time to head back to Nairobi.
All-Inclusive. Your 12-Day Discovery Safari includes park entrance fees, accommodations, and meals. Natural World Safaris always offers a wide choice of accommodations. Depending on your budget and style choose from economy, comfort or luxury safari lodges or tented camps.
